In 1987, British Rail's Railfreight division underwent a significant restructuring, leading to the creation of several sub-sectors under the overarching title of Trainload Freight. This move was part of British Rail's broader efforts to improve efficiency and profitability within the freight sector, which had been facing increasing competition from road transport.

The Trainload Freight operation was divided into six distinct sub-sectors based on the type of freight being transported:

  • Petroleum
  • General
  • Distribution
  • Construction
  • Coal
  • Metals

As shown on the t-shirt. This is a great item for any railway fan.
